Proud to Be an IPSA Member: What It Means for PGFM and Our Clients

At PGFM, we are proud to be a member of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA).

It is a milestone we want to share openly, because it reflects how we run our business every day. Being an IPSA member means we are part of a recognised professional community, and that we choose to be held to high standards of conduct, service and accountability.

But pride in membership is only worth something if it benefits the people we work for. So what does it actually mean for PGFM, and what does it mean for you as a client?

For us, it is a public commitment to working professionally, communicating clearly and taking responsibility when it matters. For our clients, it is added reassurance that the security provider protecting their site meets a standard that can be checked, not just a standard we claim for ourselves.

In this post, we explain why we joined IPSA, what membership involves, and how it supports the dependable, straightforward service our clients expect from us.

What is IPSA, and why does it matter?

IPSA is an industry association that brings together security providers who are committed to professional standards across the sector. Membership signals that a company wants to be recognised for how it works, not just for what it sells.

The security industry is a crowded one. On paper, many providers sound remarkably similar: licensed staff, competitive rates, round-the-clock cover. What separates them is usually consistency, communication and accountability when something goes wrong. Belonging to a recognised professional body gives clients a reference point that goes beyond a sales pitch.

For PGFM, joining IPSA was a natural step. Our approach has always been built on clear communication, dependable delivery and taking responsibility when it matters. Membership places those principles alongside an established industry framework, which is exactly where we want them to sit.

Part of a wider commitment

IPSA membership sits alongside the other standards we work to every day. These include our status as an SIA Approved Contractor, SSAIB certification (COP 119), ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and Constructionline Gold membership, among others. Together they reflect a simple belief that quality, safety and compliance should be demonstrated, not just described.

Standards are a daily habit, not a badge. They show up in how quickly we respond, how clearly we report, and how well we look after the people and property on your site. They also show up in the feedback we receive from clients, who consistently tell us that clear communication and reliable support make the biggest difference. Membership is one more way of keeping ourselves honest.

Looking for a security partner you can rely on?

If you want a provider that is proud to be measured against professional standards, we would be glad to talk. View our accreditations, or request a free quote today and see the difference a straightforward, accountable service can make to your site.

We are proud to be an IPSA member because standards should be something our clients can check, not just something we claim.
Three ways IPSA membership benefits our clients

01

Hold us accountable
Membership means our conduct and standards are open to scrutiny. If you are ever unhappy with the service you receive, you have more than our word to rely on. We think that is healthy. Good providers should welcome being measured, and we would rather be judged on our service than asked to be trusted on faith. Poor accountability is one of the most common reasons businesses change security provider, so we have built it in from the very start.

02

Expect consistent standards
Consistency is what our clients tell us they value most. Every PGFM site is covered by SIA-licensed officers who are properly briefed, professionally presented and clear about their responsibilities. Being part of IPSA reinforces that expectation across every contract, whether it is a single static guard at an office or a full event deployment. A good standard should never depend on which officer happens to be on shift.

03

Check it for yourself
We do not ask clients to take our word for it. Our IPSA membership certificate is available to view on our website, alongside the rest of our accreditations. Checking credentials should be a normal part of choosing a provider, and we make it easy to do. If you are comparing security companies, ask each one for proof of its memberships. A confident provider will be glad to share it, and you will quickly learn a great deal from those who hesitate.
